i met a super violent tweeker that had unbelievable tattoos, but the one i remember is he had the word “hi” between his eyebrows, and my friend told me not to ask about it because he got it to beat the out of people who asked about it.

I guess it boils down to soooo many people claiming certain dead comedians are sooo much funnier than living ones. Pryor, Carlin, Hedberg, Hicks, Candy, Dangerfield… the list goes on. It’s Obvious that whatever living comedian is in debate will never be a Pryor or Hedberg, but the fact remains that living comedians are still alive, hence, they can’t be judged on the same field… their comedy careers are still being molded and most of them haven’t peaked yet. thats all Im sayin

why the dead comedian thing though?? i can fill in the blank with many comedians that are alive. and read my first comment, “but im glad hes still doing it because hes very fun to listen to and is still very very funny” at times he is very funny, but hes not as hilarious as many other comics. his “style” is more ‘talk about the truth’ than ‘make you laugh a lot’

What I’m saying, is that Carlin and Cosby are two totally different comedians with different styles, approaches and delivery to their comedy. In that, which I thought was obvious, sense you Can’t compare comedians by saying “he’s no…(fill in the blank with your favorite dead comedian)”

Indeed, Stanhope is …
Indeed, Stanhope is easily my favorite living standup comic since Carlin died.
Not to say Cross’s standup is bad; I think it’s great that he continues to do standup (especially in a world with holes like Dane Cook who somehow sell out stadiums), but his sketch comedy and character acting are where he really shines.
